On Saturday June 10th, seventeen OSC members made their way south to The Oyster Troff in Eustis for our monthly Buccaneer dinner gathering. The Margaritas, beer and various other beverages were ice cold and delicious. And even though we had a large group, the food was wonderful (as usual) and the service was great.
Some of our members had already headed back to their “summer homes” up north, others were on vacation, and some had friends or family in town, so they could not join us. We certainly missed their camaraderie!
The Troff’s oysters were fat, juicy, and delicious. Their chicken wings are always a big hit and you can definitely “have it your way”. They offer a wide variety of dry rubs and/or sauces from ‘Mild’ to ‘Cry like a Baby’ -- and every imaginable flavor in-between! I am not sure what other people ordered, but I did not hear any complaints! We all came home a little fatter and a lot happier.
The next Buccaneer gathering will be on July 13th at Ayuttaya Thai Restaurant in Ocala. I think we can all agree that our scheduled venues offer a wide variety of cuisines!
I hope to see all of you there for another incredible-edible experience. Keep an eye out for the Evite, and then say “YES”!
